Our Mission is to empower disadvantaged children through progressive education. Ann Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization creating permanent positive change in the world. Guided by the belief that every child deserves an equal right to education, we provide online and on-the-ground literacy solutions to less fortunate children and youth and those with disabilities.
In developing countries, the Foundation focuses on providing programs to kids who might not otherwise get an opportunity to develop their inherent talent, either because of their disability, gender or socio-economic status.
We envision a world where every disadvantaged child has access to basic education. All our efforts are geared towards helping shape young lives for tomorrow.
We work with trusted locally based, schools and grassroots organizations to build sustainable outcomes for young people around the world.
OUR GUIDING PRINCIPLES:
Passion: Our founder’s passion is reflected throughout our organization. From the work that we do with children and youth to the volunteers and board members that work with us, everyone is guided by our mission of improving the quality and future prospects of young lives in need.
Honesty: Honesty lies at the heart of our organization’s work. We do our work with utmost integrity and authenticity.
Creativity: Working in developing nations such as India, Africa and Egypt, we have learnt how to be creative problem solvers. We believe in thinking outside the box in a search for solutions, finding creative ways to make things happen and taking quick action.
Efficiency: Not always do we have the required funding for the global impact we strive to make, which means we have had to learn how to be efficient in our work. We believe in setting goals and accomplishing them within our limited resources.
Respect: We treat our board members, volunteers, aid-workers, partners, sponsors, and everyone we meet from the children we teach to the teachers and service providers in the communities where we work with respect. We are humble when we mistakes and quickly learn from them. We do not discriminate when hiring or working with others in various communities.
