Curriculum Development

Development of a culturally appropriate curriculum to support teaching and learning of the English language.  Learners are rural children and teens with disabilities. Working from an outcomes-based framework, you will develop detailed materials, activities, and assessments for use by language teachers (tutors). Curriculum materials must also support the personal and social development of learners.

Responsibilities: Curriculum development and adaptation based on feedback on learner needs from tutors and Project Coordinators. Materials must be based on best practices and match the needs of learners. Please apply with a CV which gives your experience in teaching, curriculum development or instructional design.

    My name is Simone De Pass and I am a South African living and working in Italy. I have my BA degree in Psychological counseling and I am currently completing my final Honours year. I have over 3 years of teaching expererience as a CELTA trained English teacher conducting exam preparation courses and conversation classes in a private language school. As well as, working in primary and middle school teaching CLIL (content-language intergrated learning) content based lesson such as; History, Science, Biology, and Art.

    With my extensive knowledge in teaching in different fields of education and the vast topics i have covered, I feel I could be an appropriate match for your project. Curriculum building is a field I am very interested in as I am specialising in Educational psychology. The world of education and correct and appropriate curriculum is essential for a healthy and well-adapted child. Therefore, Creativing a curriculum of the highest standard is crucial in my perspective.
