Project Description

When a massive earthquake struck Haiti, a nursing school was one of the few buildings in the city of Leogane still standing. It served as a haven for injured victims in the mayhem that followed. Several hundred refugees still live in tents on its grounds.

The respected school will now become the site of our new prosthetics center, a place that will offer life-changing help to children and adults who were left as amputees in the Jan. 12 disaster. At Ann Foundation, we are on our way to making this exciting project a reality. We hope to start making and fitting people with artificial limbs in September. To read the full newsletter click here.
