Uhuru Mchanganyiko Primary school is one of the oldest in Tanzania. It was established in 1921 in Dar es salaam and was the first to accept children with disabilities alongside other children in the classroom. Some of the girls and boys are blind, some are deaf blind and some have learning disabilities. They board at the school where there is no provision for them in their local area.
